Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today held a bilateral meeting with the Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Nils Schmid, on the sidelines of 23rd Shangri-La Dialogue, in Singapore.
They discussed ways to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the defence sector, as the ASEAN-Germany Development Partnership marks its 10th anniversary this year. They welcomed the successful participation of Dr. Kao at the 62nd Munich Security Conference held in February earlier this year.
