Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, this afternoon met with H.E. Lieutenant General Dr. Suharyanto, Head/Minister of the National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) of Republic of Indonesia, on the sidelines of the 13th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (AMMDM) and the 14th Meeting of the Conference of Parties (COP) to the ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER), in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. They exchanged views on Indonesia’s upcoming role and priorities as the AMMDM Chair 2026 in enhancing efforts towards sustainable resilience.
