In an interview with China Global Television Network, held on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit 2025 in Tianjin, China, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, highlighted the importance of dialogue platforms in addressing non-traditional security threats such as the impact of climate change on maritime resources and public health emergencies. He also discussed tangible steps to translate the provisions of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 upgrade, particularly on the digital and green economies, into real benefits for the region’s businesses and communities.
