Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference with Japan, in Manila, the Philippines. The Meeting reviewed the progress of ASEAN-Japan cooperation and discussed its future direction.
The Ministers focused on advancing the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including through the effective implementation of the Joint Vision Statement on ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation: Trusted Partners. The Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest and concern.
The Meeting was attended by the ASEAN Foreign Ministers or their representatives, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Motegi Toshimitsu, and Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn.
