The outgoing Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, H.E. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, today paid a farewell call on the Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat.
SG Dr. Kao expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Phantipha for her invaluable contributions to the work of the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) as well as for her commendable leadership as the current Country Coordinator for ASEAN-Republic of Korea (ROK) Dialogue Relations.
He further highlighted that under Thailand’s Coordinatorship, ASEAN and the ROK had seen elevation of their relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2024, a significant milestone in the partnership’s journey.
SG Dr. Kao extended his best wishes to Ambassador Phantipha for her future endeavours and reaffirmed ASEAN’s continued support to her successor and the Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN.
