Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with Ms. Kathryn Clarkson, new International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Representative to ASEAN, and Head of Delegation for Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, and Timor-Leste, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat.
SG Dr. Kao extended his congratulations to Ms. Clarkson on her appointment as the IFRC Representative and discussed ways to further strengthen ASEAN-IFRC cooperation, particularly through the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ASEAN and the IFRC on the Strengthening of Community Resilience in Southeast Asia.
