Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, met with Deputy Director-General of World Trade Organization (WTO) Angela Ellard, on 13 November 2024, at the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ministerial Meeting in Lima, Peru. Both sides exchanged views on emerging economic challenges facing the global trading system, and discussed Timor-Leste’s recent accession to the WTO and its progress towards ASEAN membership.
