Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the 28th ASEAN Plus Three (APT) Summit, convened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The APT countries reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the APT framework, which plays a key role in fostering regional cooperation and addressing emerging issues and challenges. The Meeting welcomed the progress of APT cooperation and discussed enhancing cooperation across various sectors, and adopted the APT Leaders’ Statement on Strengthening Regional Economic and Financial Cooperation.
