16/08/20: I am holding two palm fruits from the palm trees at The University of Cambodia. When I was younger, I used to climb the palm trees to collect the palm juice (very sweet) and the palm fruits (which can be eaten raw) in the countryside of Cambodia. Palm tree is an important symbol of Cambodia, which reflects the character of the Cambodian people. Palm trees grow and stand up straight everywhere throughout the land of Cambodia. Unlike the bamboos which bend and swing according to the winds, palm trees stand up straight, even with the strong winds and harsh conditions of the weather.
