The 9th ASEAN Prize Judging Committee Meeting for the ASEAN Prize 2026 was held at the ASEAN Secretariat/ASEAN Headquarters, in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 30 June 2026.
Chaired by the Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, the meeting brought together former Secretaries-General of ASEAN to deliberate on and carefully assess the national nominees for the ASEAN Prize 2026.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for Secretary-General Dr. Kao and the former Secretaries-General to exchange views on regional developments, global trends, and broader issues relating to ASEAN Community building efforts, particularly in the context of the 50th Anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).
This milestone document underscores the foundational principles that continue to guide ASEAN’s development, cooperation and regional integration.
