Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the Plenary Session of the 48th ASEAN Summit, held in Cebu, Philippines. During the meeting, SG Dr. Kao reported on the progress of ASEAN Community-building to the ASEAN Leaders, including developments in advancing the implementation of ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future, towards a resilient, innovative, dynamic, and people-centred ASEAN Community. The ASEAN Leaders also discussed developments in the Middle East and their implications for regional stability, as well as exchanged views on the way forward in ensuring regional energy security and resilience, stabilising food security in the region, and safety of ASEAN nationals.
