Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with the Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), Dato’ Ir. Ts. Abdul Razib Dawood, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat, to exchange views on the evolving global energy developments and to further strengthen coordination in support of ASEAN Member States.
They discussed the emerging challenges to regional energy security and underscored the importance of timely, coordinated, and forward-looking responses. They also talked about the importance of enhancing regional preparedness, including through ongoing efforts under the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Petroleum Security (APSA).
