Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on 10 February 2026, delivered the WSD Handa Distinguished Annual Lecture 2026 at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) China Institute in London, UK. With the theme “The ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership: Advancing Peace, Prosperity and Progress,”
SG Dr. Kao distilled the key accomplishments of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations over the years and highlighted the potential of how ASEAN and China could further advance peace and ensure prosperity for the peoples as well as propel progress for the region in the future.
