Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with H.E. Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing, Chair of ASEAN Tourism Ministers’ Retreat 2025 and Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, in Melaka, Malaysia, to exchange views on advancing regional tourism cooperation.
The meeting highlighted Malaysia’s leadership in promoting ASEAN’s tourism agenda and underscored the importance of collaboration in sustainable and digital tourism, enhancing intra-ASEAN travel, and engaging Dialogue Partners.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ASEAN tourism as a driver of economic growth, connectivity, and shared prosperity for the region.
