Ma. Christina A. Roque, Secretary of Trade and Industry of the Republic of the Philippines and Chair of the ASEAN Economic Ministers\u2019 (AEM) Meeting in 2026, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will lead the delegation of the ASEAN Secretariat to participate in the 32nd ASEAN Economic Ministers\u2019 (AEM) Retreat 2026, scheduled to be held in Taguig, the Philippines, on 13 March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s Retreat will see discussions on the recent global and regional economic outlook, the Philippines\u2019 Priority Economic Deliverables (PEDs) for its Chairship in 2026 under the theme \u201cNavigating Our Future, Together,\u201d ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Performance Monitoring, as well as a number of key initiatives including the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA) negotiations, Timor-Leste\u2019s accession to ASEAN economic agreements, and ASEAN\u2019s external economic relations among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministers will also have dialogue sessions with the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC), the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), as well as with the Asian Development Bank (ADB).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" data-id=\"20823\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kaokimhourn.com\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/HDGKQIebgAAzGDY-819x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20823\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kaokimhourn.com\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/HDGKQIebgAAzGDY-819x1024.jpg 819w, https:\/\/www.kaokimhourn.com\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/HDGKQIebgAAzGDY-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/www.kaokimhourn.com\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/HDGKQIebgAAzGDY-768x960.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.kaokimhourn.com\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/HDGKQIebgAAzGDY-300x375.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.kaokimhourn.com\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/HDGKQIebgAAzGDY-850x1063.jpg 850w, https:\/\/www.kaokimhourn.com\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/HDGKQIebgAAzGDY.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the invitation of H.E.
